Lucid: Adj.
1)Expressed clearly; easy to understand: "a clear and lucid style".
2)Showing ability to think clearly, esp. in the intervals between periods of confusion or insanity.
Somnolence: Noun.
1)A state of drowsiness; sleepiness.
2 A condition of semiconsciousness approaching coma.
A Lucid Somnolence:
1) A state of mind involving dissociation and mindlessness.
2) A chemically induced mixture of euphoria, drowsiness, and apathy.
3) The period of time either just before or after you go to sleep in which you experience the oddities of your own mind. Usually experienced by crashing after a long period without sleep when you finally have a chance to sleep, but cannot in the situation and thus wake up many times in a short period of time. This causes you to not be able to tell reality from the dream for as long as it lasts
Although the third and second are enjoyable (to me at least) I've been trying to escape these lucid somnolences. So far it's going all right. I've refrained from drugs or any other dissociation technique I have control over. This blog is a way for you to see into that somnolence and for me to see out of it.
